Accidental Death and Dismemberment

An additional provision in life insurance policies which provides payment if the cause of death is determined to be as a result of an accident or if they suffer from a combination of losses of limbs or sight. The amount of additional payment is usually expressed as a multiple of the base amount of insurance. See Also “Accidental Death Benefit”.
