Charitable Gift Annuity

An income stream created by a charity using some of the proceeds of an irrevocable donation to provide an income stream to the donor(s) , normally for life. Many charities will subcontract the actual life annuity used to create the income stream to an insurance company. The integrated tax benefits of this arrangement create a win-win situation for both the donor and the charity.
