Equity Fund

A portfolio of investments, primarily of common stocks, in which investors purchase units, allowing them to access more diversified investment holdings than would otherwise be available and access to managers who research markets and select individual holdings. There are many types of equity funds in Canada and investors should ensure their objectives are consistent with the fund manager’s mandate.
