Qualified Domestic Trusts (QDOTs)

In the United States, QDOTS function similarly to Spousal Trusts in Canada. Under the Canada U.S. Tax Treaty, Canadians may use these as well, provided they are not also claiming marital credits in order to double their pro-rated unified credit.
